... - Responsible for the Operational Risk reporting framework for the APAC region
- Provide advisory services to 1st Line on all Operational Risk matters
- Ensure that operational risks across all Business Lines in APAC are identified, assessed, managed, communicated and reported in accordance to Bank’s policies and local regulations
- Review of local policies, standard operating procedures, change management plans, outsourcing arrangements etc
- Constantly review Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of periodic Key Risk Indicator updates, Risk and Control Self-Assessment exercises and ad hoc reviews if any
- Issue, Incident & Control Management which includes reviewing the completeness and accuracy of incident description, including potential / actual loss and regulatory breach (es) where applicable
- Outsourcing Business - Coordinate Service Level Agreement refresh to ensure SLAs are up-to-date
- Advise and assist with the formulation, implementation and delivery of the Operational Risk strategy
- Conduct periodic service review meetings with stakeholders and outsourced service providers
- Responsible for ensuring timeliness and accuracy of risk reports and management dashboards (MI Reporting)
- Conduct periodic training on risk-related topics for Business Units
- Keep abreast of Operational Risk related developments in the industry, and incorporate into policy and procedures
- Participate in Risk Committee meetings and provide regular insights along with mitigation plans
- Communicate policy and guidelines to Management and employees
skills and experience required
- Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 8 years of Operational Risk experience within the Banking sector
- Understanding of regulatory requirements
- Experience in Outsourcing or Fraud Risk
- Familiarity with SOX Reporting is a plus
- Knowledge in Wholesale Banking products and processes
- Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational, analytical and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
