Job description
Reporting to the VP based in Singapore, you will be the GM providing leadership, coaching, operations, and strategic direction to a team of high motivated individuals from the hospitality sector.
Manage all phases of the groups operations to ensure maximum sales and profitability through focusing on key business initiatives, presentation and facility management, marketing execution, inventory management, customer service, loss prevention, payroll management, risk management, and daily operational cost control.
Manage the relationships between the Club and its Board of Directors, members, guests, employees, community, government and industry.
Coordinate and administer the policies as defined by its Board of Directors and any person so authorized by the Board.
Develop operating policies and procedures and direct the work of all department managers.
Implement and monitor the budget, monitor the quality of the products and services and ensure maximum member and guest satisfaction.
You will also lead by example - demonstrating the firm’s Core Values and Leadership behaviors to build positive business relationships with HODs, Ops Team and Customers.
- Oversee planning and budget analysis and reporting and ensures cost control measures are in place
- Measures and provides counsel on improving operational performance
- Drives the implementation of company programs by motivating and supporting the management team to develop and implement action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives
- Executes regular on-site evaluations of service and quality standards with the management team to ensure guest satisfaction
- Supervises management performance evaluations to ensure development of all managers.
- Acts as a liaison between field and support functions for escalated issues.
- Reviews key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coach management team on appropriate action required to achieve operational goals.
- Support District Managers with managing staffing levels and labor costs.
- Ensures adherence to applicable wage and hour laws and company policies.
The successful applicant
- 8 or more years of international hospitality experience in a sales, operations, general management capacity having manage people in various functions
- Possess excellent cost management hands-on experience
- Have knowledge of service and food & beverage operations, generally involving at least five or more years of front-of-the-house & back-of-the-house operations in a management position
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management or relevant qualifications preferred.
- A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
