We are partnering an infrastructure development company that promotes infrastructure investment opportunities in the region. In the second half of the year, they are looking at increasing the headcount of the legal and compliance team by adding on a Legal & Compliance Officer. This role would be based in Singapore.


about the job

This role requires you to apply your business mind to understand the organisational vision and mission, be actively involved in the business planning and understand the market practices and partnering opportunities. You would be someone who is passionate about making a difference to the society through investment and building of infrastructure in the lower income developing countries. Through your legal and industrial expertise, you would support the General Counsel on all legal advisory matters. The key portfolio that you would be leading falls within the compliance and regulatory remit. You would oversee the compliance procedures and implement processes, review and draft compliance related documents and agreements, put together industrial regulatory updates, highlight and mitigate risks involved in the projects and other legal advisory matters. You would be the manage applications of permits and certificates and ensure that project related regulatory documents are obtained in a timely manner.

skills & experience required
You would be legally trained and come with 3 to 5 years of legal/compliance experiences within the energy/infrastructure projects background. You are familiar with the regulations across multiple jurisdictions and are able to join the dots between causes and risks, and manage the investment around potential risks.
