about the team

The team supports and implements the bank’s change management initiatives from inception through to implementation of the solution. Their objectives are to ensure that projects are delivered within assigned timeline and budget. You can look forward to being part of a dynamic team and you will be required to work closely with several stakeholders including Front Office, Finance, Risk Management and Technology.

about the job

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving and delivering initiatives to improve the Operational teams’ delivery processes, particularly in the area of Equity Settlements

  • Organise meetings and lead discussions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to understand and document business requirements
  • Develop project plans and document end-to-end roles and responsibilities, including process flow and required controls
  • Prepare associated MI reports
  • Problem analysis and propose recommendations or solutions
  • Work closely with global Project Management team and Technology team
  • Monitor progress of integration initiative and furnish updates to stakeholders on progress against plan
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing process
  • Identify and report risks/issues
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews

skills and experience required

  • Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 8 years of experience in Operations and/or Project Management within the Financial Services sector
  • Exposure in handling Settlements or Clearing related projects is an added advantage
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking an added advantage
  • Prior experience in Middle Office Trade Support or Settlements
  • Knowledge in Equity products
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong concept and design skills
