About the job
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets in compliance with accounting standards
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to help inform business decisions
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure all accounts are reconciled
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist with audits and compliance reviews
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team to support the overall financial health of the company
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed
Skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services or insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations in the insurance/insurance broking business
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
