about the role

  • Perform AML/CFT review and risk monitoring on clients’ accounts
  • Perform various AML control tasks including sanctions monitoring, monitoring on seize accounts, timely execution of portfolio exits for cause, timely fulfilment of Compliance conditions
  • Manage the AML investigation escalation review process
  • Track, monitor, report/escalate the status of investigation / STR filing /post STR filing / STR post mortem actions
  • Support Compliance team in carrying out due diligence reviews of relevant account changes such as signatories, Power of Attorneys etc
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures to meet global minimum standards/controls
  • Participate in AML-related projects, process improvement, and remediation actions
  • Assist the AML team in ad hoc legal and compliance issues relating to AML, and supporting Compliance Singapore with respect to related enquiries from regulators, auditors (internal and external) and Head Office
  • Coordinate the Client Review Committee meetings including drafting of meeting minutes, monitoring completion of follow-up actions
  • Ensure that AML control issues are properly identified, assessed, escalated and tracked for closure

skills & experience required

  • Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of Compliance/AML related experience in the Private Banking or Wealth Management industry
  • Good understanding of AML/CFT and sanctions regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
