about the job
Due to continued success, this company is seeking a commercial NGS expert to join its Applied Genomics business unit and product management team to drive clinical genomics products in the Asia Pacific region. This is a senior manager level position where you will report directly to your global directors, and take an instrumental role in formulating and implementing 3-5 year vision for this portfolio. You will be overall accountable to achieve APAC Clinical NGS sales target.

  • Create a regional strategy designed to establish a profitable business and subsequently equip the product line for growth
  • Establish a range of key accounts and sales activities, differentiated offerings and market awareness actions designed to capture a significant proportion of the NGS market in Asia Pacific
  • Forecast sales by business unit segment and utilize this data to drive operations and operational fulfilment
  • Closely interact with prospective buyers/customers in order to reinforce the marketing strategies and differentiating features of the product and company
  • Provide sales support and work with marketing to produce leads through attending trade shows, online advertising and appropriate media publications
  • Appraise the sales’ status, identify the competitor’s strategies and develop strategies to win the deal
  • Work with the global business units to evaluate product performance and identify new areas of improvement/ functionality enabling greater success through extracting customer’s feedback
  • Work closely with R&D and product management on new product introductions that allow for the gap filling and capture of market share
  • Continuously analyse market movements and developments to align areas of unmet need and growth

skills and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree and above (preferably PhD) in Molecular Biology
  • Strong technical knowledge in Next Generation Sequencing terminology workflows, platforms and data reporting
  • 5 years+ experience in sales, marketing, or business development within Life Science / Clinical Diagnostics industry, with proven success in sales management, market access, market intelligence, and product marketing
  • Regional commercial experience in South East Asia or Asia Pacific
  • Intermediate knowledge of Preimplantation Genetic Tests and other clinical NGS applications
