job description

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • Reporting to Group CEO (Based in New Jersey, US)
  • Candidate Location: Singapore
  • Subordinate:2 Director Reports, total team with 11


DUTIES:

  • Drive the strategy and lead all commercial activities and maximize sales performance in the region.
  • Establishes, maintains, and expands relationships with clients and partners and is responsible for achieving sales and profitability
  • Translates long-term business goals and sales strategy into broader sales objectives; with the customer centricity being the focus; takes direct responsibility for the sales and customer experience
  • Represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned partners.
  • Owns and drives team performance through defining and cascading of strategic sales targets and performance program(s), and by establishing performance metrics, control mechanism and supporting systems.
  • Defines and ensures the appropriate resource allocation to the strategic account management and sales planning process that contains the overall strategy for maximizing the value of the account and potential to further develop the business relationship with the customer constituents.
  • Accountable for attracting, training, and developing top sales management/professionals and to ensure optimum level of workforce engagement.
  • Providing commercial input on Business Development opportunities
  • Leading and supporting, including market development, lifecycle planning, KOL development and implementation of global programs
  • Providing commercial and market validated assumptions to provide clear asset valuation and support rapid development decision making.
  • To be the continuous learner of market happenings by understanding competitors strengths and weaknesses.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree at least
  • MBA or degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical experiences in functions such as Marketing, New Product Planning, Sales, Business Development, Market Research, Business Intelligence
  • Proven leadership skills in managing direct reports
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing/participating in cross-functional teams
  • Previous experience in multiple regional/country markets preferred
  • Fluency in English required, conversational mastery of additional language(s) a plus - Chinese to be able to communicate to stakeholders in China
  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical industry dynamics
  • Travel required
