Our client is a successful and growing US MNC industry providing automation solutions for customers in commercial, industrial, and residential markets. They are looking to hire an APAC Supply Chain Director to lead the team.

about the job

As an APAC Supply Chain Director, your key tasks involve:

  • leading and managing a group of supply chain professionals across different sites in APAC
  • implement and set up goals consistent with World Area business objectives and align to global supply chain directions
  • manage key procurement projects - regionalization of products to Asia, new product introduction or new part development, material cost reduction on value analysis or value engineering, indirect materials sourcing and containment, etc
  • drive for continuous improvement on supply chain processes and tools in ensuring business needs on cost, lead time, service level performance, and quality are all met
  • develop Asia Sourcing Strategy for key commodities like castings, forging, machining, fabricator subcontractors, rubber, valves etc

skills & experience required

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related technical discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in technical experience in the valve industry
  • Strong working experience in a senior leadership role taking charge of APAC
  • Knowledge and experience in the following commodities such as castings, die castings, machined parts, fabrication work, rubber, and springs will be required
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with senior leadership and across cultural/geographical boundaries
  • Willing to travel within APAC and China (up to 50% freq)
