about the company

Our client is a global leader in food ingredients for the dairy industry and have seen exponential growth in the APAC region hence they are looking to bring on an experienced Application Specialist to manage it's dairy category. The aim is to also to provide technical expertise to our customers and our sales organization globally

about the job

  • Lead beverage projects in new product development, or modification of existing products, recipes or processes - ready to drink dairy products

  • Provide timely technical support and knowledge, using protein, textural ingredients, and other functional ingredient applications, to internal and external customers, with prioritisation based on customer status and how to projects affect the business

  • Responsible for the protection of customers caused by foodborne hazards associated with the

    business’s products and processes

  • Regular review of Food Safety Systems

  • Ensure safe, hygienic and efficient day to day operations of the Dairy/Beverage/Frozen consumables in clean room settings.

  • Perform laboratory trials on formulations of various beverage products, as required.

  • Regular updates and maintenance of all relevant company applications

  • Guide new product development and formulations

  • Monitor quality and continuous improvement programs - ISO9001, GMP, HACCP, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

  • Attend and contribute to relevant company meetings, local and regional conferences, trade exhibitions and business meetings where required.

  • Any other tasks or projects assigned by the Group Manager

about the manager/team

You will be part of our international dairy application group reporting in to the Group Director supporting the region. In addition, there will be collaborations between different business units whereby you will be giving dairy industry application support related to ingredient solutions with focus on beverage and ready to drink products

skills and experience required

  • Degree in Food Science or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in dairy and beverage industry.

  • Exposure to hydrocolloids, nutritional benefits in protein beverages and ready to drink products would be a plus

  • Proven working experience in protein based beverage industry including dairy

  • Good knowledge of dry compounded food ingredients - raw maetrial, formulation, beverage parameters

  • Understanding of commercial factors that affect product cost and selling price

  • Able to manage end to end projects with minimal supervision

  • Technical project management and pays attention to detail

  • Cooperative mindset and possess a team driven mentality

  • Able to travel within the ASEAN region when require (15%)
