A leading well-established firm in the FMCG sector is known to be the top branding with regional presence. As part of their growing business, there is now an exciting opportunity to be part of their team as an Assistant Manager (Costing) which is a people managerial role.
About the job
Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance, costing and inventory aspects. In addition to being hands-on in the full spectrum of accounting, including monthly reconciliation, and assisting in reporting activities, you will also be involved in analysing the variance of actual cost vs budgeted cost, preparation of yearly budget for cost of goods sold (COGS) etc. You will work closely across all functions of the business to drive productivity and cost effectiveness to achieve profitability and revenue objectives. There will be opportunities to be involved in driving process and system improvement initiatives. As this is a people managerial position, you will be managing one executive.
Skills and experience required
To succeed, you required a recognized degree with at least 3 years of costing and inventory experience. You are independent, highly analytical, resourceful, and proficient in Excel and comfortable travelling to the West. You have strong interpersonal skills to liaise with the different stakeholders.
