about the job & manager
We are currently looking to hire an Assistant Events Director to join the organization! You will be primarily responsible for growing the team, focusing on bringing in revenue for the organization and maintaining relationships with the existing clients whilst bringing in new accounts. You will be reporting directly to the CEO for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Head and supervise the team and their performance
- Provide and manage a steady flow of sales leads.
- Conduct market research and stay current on market trends, market demand, and rates.
- Strengthen client relationships and expand the client base and business.
- Manage revenue budgeting and forecasting.
- Respond to clients’ queries and concerns.
- Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
- Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
skills and experience required
- You should have at least 5 years in the events / catering sales / venue space industry, holding a senior sales/marketing position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Able to multitask, work independently and function in a dynamic working environment.
