about the role
As a senior team member, you will be responsible for different areas of Finance including:
- Undertaking the role of a reviewer where you will perform review of Nostro reconciliation and ensuring unreconciled items are resolved timely; reviewing of journal entries and ensuring adherence with accounting standards and Head Office guidelines; reviewing payments & expenses for the Branch
- Assisting with Head Office Reporting and Financial Reporting which includes preparation of year-end Financial Statements
- Assisting with preparation as well as reviewing of MAS regulatory reports (MAS 610 and 649)
- Overseeing the monitoring of daily regulatory ratios for the branch (MLA, MCB etc)
- Consolidating operating budgets and assist with cost management
- Assisting with taxation matters, including Corporate Tax and GST
- Supporting Department Head with process improvement initiatives
skills and experience required
- Minimum Degree in Finance & Accounting
- At least 10 years of financial and accounting experience within the Banking industry, with prior supervisory experience a plus
- Strong working knowledge in different areas of Accounting and Finance including Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reporting
- Willing to be hands-on to take on preparer duties if team is short-handed
- Good communications and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
