Oversee the accounting team, ensuring expertise in general accounting and AP matters, and lead the Group's financial and corporate reporting, emphasizing a prompt and accurate month-end close. Stay updated on financial reporting standards, manage annual audits, and handle tax reporting, including timely filing and settlement. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, and review internal controls. Act as the contact for system issues, documenting and escalating them while providing guidance to the offshore credit control team. Manage insurance accounting processes, including payment authorization, and month-end closing. Support the Department Head in gathering expense data for annual budgets and monitor cash inflow/outflow across Group offices, focusing on the Asia markets.
Skills and experience required
Degree in Accounting & Finance and/or any professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA/ACCA) with at least 6 years of reporting experience, ideally in the re/insurance or broking industry. You should be skilled in using excel with knowledge of financial regulations within Asia. In order to succeed, you should be meticulous, a team player, and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines.
