- Manage the actuarial valuation processes for the life insurance business
- Ensure that financial reporting meets regulatory requirements, including GAAP and statutory accounting principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product features and pricing strategies
- Monitor and assess the financial performance of the company, including identifying key trends and risks
- Provide guidance to junior actuaries
- Manage relationships with external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders
- Keep up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices
Skills and experience required
- Good progression in actuarial examinations from a recognized professional actuarial body
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Life Insurance actuarial modelling and valuation
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, VBA, and other relevant software tools
- Experience with actuarial software such as Prophet would be an added advantage
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on projects
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
