    Working with one of the largest reinsurer, our client offers a full range of tailored Political Risk and Credit Insurance products.

    about the job

    As part of this interesting role, you will be required to:

    • Underwriting under guidance (within limits); preparing individual cases for pricing and modelling, liaising with Actuaries to deliver technical pricing to Underwriter; using modelling systems to aid the underwriting process; conducting research as requested by Underwriter.
    • Be involved in pre-underwriting for renewals, handling endorsements on active business, conducting specific analyses for new business, and following up on renewals.
    • Developing an internal network for facilitating the transfer of information and data between functions and departments in order to service the requirements of the underwriters and clients.
    • Assist the business group in maintaining and developing their book of business while developing the necessary skill sets and defined authority to accept risk in underwriting of a profitable account.
    • Understand the strategy and financial targets of AXA XL Insurance and those applicable to the business unit. You will work towards a team target and goals that support the delivery of the business plan.
    • Attending internal and external meetings with clients and brokers.



    about the manager/team
    You will report to the Head. As part of this exciting role, you will gain insights into how political and economical events impacts the underwriting business.

    skills and experience required

    A degree is minimally required with 2-3 years of experience in the Banking & Finance Industry. Importantly, you should come with capability in credit analysis and show a key interest in global affairs.
