- Responsible for overseeing the risks and controls of the Global Markets (GM) business across Asia from a 1st Line of Defence (LoD) perspective
- Advise the Global Markets stakeholders on Operational Risk Management guidelines
- Strengthen control set up through the declaration, investigation, analysis of operational risk incidents
- Contribute to the delivery of a robust and effective internal control framework
- Develop and manage operational risk monitoring measures and reporting (e.g. KRI, Risk Control Self-Assessment, Conduct Risk Identification)
- Conduct training to strengthen a risk mitigation culture
- Coordinate the internal validation of exceptional transactions, new activities, proprietary
- custom index or automated trading strategies
- Identify business, regulatory and conduct risks within the GM business
- Participate in internal Risk and Governance forums
- Support business development initiatives while ensuring adequate governance and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Point of contact for Business management related tasks e.g. BCP, Compliance reviews, RCSA coordination, Product Approvals,client on-boarding documentation and credit approvals.
skills and experience required
- Minimum Degree
- At least 6 years of experience in 1st and/or 2nd LoD Non-Financial Risk within the Banking industry
- Familiarity with Global Markets business and products
- Understanding of APAC regulatory requirements
- Meticulous and analytical
- Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
