about the job

You will join an R&D team consisting of wet-lab and dry-lab molecular scientists, and work together to identify unique biomarkers of various types of diseases. You will:

  • Develop and apply novel statistical, bioinformatics, and data mining algorithms and applications
  • Perform in-depth analysis on data and interpret their implications in healthcare application
  • Carry out association analyses with sophisticated genotypic, microbiomic, metabolomic, proteomic and phenotypic information
  • Provide statistical insights to wet-lab team so that experiment design could be optimised


skills and experience required

  • Ph.D or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Computer Science
  • 3 years+ dry-lab work experiences in Next-generation Sequencing (NGS) or other high-throughput sequencing workflows and data analysis software
  • Strong data mining and machine learning skills, with programming experience designing and prototyping computational algorithms in Perl / Python / R / Java / Matlab
  • Good presentation and communication skills
