Brand Manager - APAC (Household / Personal Care)

Reporting to the APAC Marketing Head - the Brand manager will be responsible for contributing to the development of APAC & North Asia (Japan & Korean) brand strategies, working to identify and accelerate new product launch opportunities and for overseeing elements of brand equity on selected brands, through working with the US HQ & in market subsidiaries / distributors in the APAC & North Asia region.

  • Identify consumers’ needs and wants within the household and personal care categories, and provide inputs to Research & Development and technical team to design the right package and formula to win with local consumers
  • Lead creative agencies to develop communication ideas and execute creative production designed/customized for the cultural nuances of local consumers
  • Develop fit-for-use toolkits (including concept, benefit, claims, copy, key visual, digital i-banners, social & eCommerce contents, etc.)
  • Implement digital media plan for key brands in key markets
  • Coordinate with NPD teams to qualify the product and package through various tests for North Asia markets / claim pipeline development
  • Craft pricing, promotion and channel strategy for new products
  • Work with technical team to find the best solution of supply chain to manage the product cost within affordable level
  • Establish e-commerce strategy for key brands and work with partners to implement strategies
  • Track / report on new product roll-out and performance vs. planned goals.
  • Liaise with sales team and distributors to identify brand growth drivers for key markets.

skills & requirements

  • Highly Entrepreneurial driven role
  • Min. 3-6 years in a Regional Brand management role within an FMCG personal care, skin care, beauty, household category (Essential) in ASIA
  • Experienced in managing distributor partners
  • Proven experienced in New Product Development in personal care / household in ASIA
  • 20% travelling to markets youre in charge of.
