My client, a cutting-edge Layer 1 blockchain company focused on the gaming industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Lead to drive the growth of their gaming vertical across the APAC region. This role is critical in building partnerships with game developers, studios, and other strategic partners to expand the ecosystem and successfully launch games within the Web3 space.
about the job
- Lead the business development strategy in the APAC region, identifying and securing partnerships with game developers, studios, and gaming platforms to build and launch games on my client's Layer 1 blockchain.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to prospective partners, showcasing the advantages of blockchain gaming and how my client’s platform enables innovative and scalable solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior business development professionals, ensuring they meet regional targets and foster strong industry relationships.
- Develop and execute plans to onboard new partners, facilitating their journey from initial conversations to full game launches, while providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Network extensively at industry events, conferences, and online forums to build strong relationships and promote my client’s vision for the future of Web3 gaming.
- Collaborate closely with internal product, marketing, and tech teams to align business goals with platform capabilities and product offerings.
- Actively monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry shifts within the gaming and blockchain space, leveraging this knowledge to refine business development strategies.
- Travel across the APAC region and internationally as required for partner meetings, events, and conferences.

... - Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within the gaming industry, with a strong understanding of game development pipelines and gaming ecosystems.
- Solid experience in the blockchain/Web3 space.
- Strong network within the gaming and Web3 sectors, particularly across the APAC region.
- Experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
- Demonstrated success in securing and growing strategic partnerships, particularly in the tech or gaming sectors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Based in Singapore with the willingness to travel frequently across the APAC region and globally for events and meetings.
