about the role
A greenfield position where you will be responsible for expanding the brand’s business within the Singapore market, beyond its predominant outlet (retail) business.
- Reporting directly into the SVP - Commercial / Supply chain you will spearhead the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives, steering the company towards amplified revenue and an expanding clientele base (OEM, wholesale, E commerce, partnerships, HORECA, Food Service).
- Take ownership of sales forecasts, ensuring accuracy, managing the annual sales budget, tracking business performance against targets, and presenting insights and recommendations to the management team.
- Devise and implement an overarching growth plan with a focal point on elevating sales.
- Conduct thorough research to pinpoint potential new customers and unearth market opportunities, nurturing a robust sales pipeline.
- Preparing proposals for potential clients.
- Assess market feasibility for novel products, fostering collaboration, especially with the Production/R&D Manager, Food Technologist, and QA team, to align product development with market demand.
- Lead the conceptualization and presentation of innovative solutions and proposals adhering to industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, insights, and competition, compiling and presenting data to top management for informed decision-making.
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of sales, industry trends, and the product portfolio to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT).
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize central kitchen cost efficiency, including exploring potential new suppliers along with client requirements.
- Evaluate and optimize sales processes, from lead generation to deal closure, to enhance team productivity and reduce operational friction.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to uphold brand consistency across all sales initiatives.
skills and experience required
- 8 years of Business Development experience in the F&B market, food service, HORECA, wholesale, retail, OEM, Central kitchen, production management, E Commerce
- Able to communicate with primarily mandarin speaking staff and partners as well as for business purposes.
- Strong network within the F&B industry, including but not limited to retailers and restaurants.
- People management / leadership skills is required and the ability to build & manage a team in the future is required
- Able to work independently in a greenfield position, with a neck for new and creative ideas to drive the business.
- Deep understanding of the trends in the local F&B industry.
- Proven track record in sales within the B2B market.
