about the job

The Business Operations Manager work closely with various stakeholders across the organization to understand current business processes and identify opportunities for process reengineering and technology enabled improvements. The role will also be responsible for technology solutions that manages the end-to-end workflow for learners, from registration to eventual certificate issuance upon completion of relevant courses. Main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Business Process Design and Re-engineering
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and map out current operational processes
  • Identify opportunities to transform operational processes that results in improved efficiency, productivity, accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate identified opportunities and propose to WMI Management – business case to undertake business improvement projects.
  • Learning and Training Management Systems
  • Be the main Point of Contact (POC) covering user functionality, operational workflows and interfaces of existing Learning Management System (LMS) and Training Management System (TMS)
  • Manage external technology vendors to ensure LMS and TMS continue to meet the requirements of the organisation.
  • Strategic projects / Initiatives
  • Manage strategic projects / initiatives as tasked by WMI Management, for instance initiatives to measure and improve productivity

about the manager / team

This role reports to the Director of Administration who also heads Operations and Technology within the organisation.

skills & requirements for the job

To succeed in this role, you should come equipped with a Degree from a recognized University with at least 8 years of working experience; process improvement experience will be a plus. In addition, you should be resourceful, able to work independently with strong organizational and analytical skills. You should also possess the demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies, as well as having good Project Management and communication skills.
