about the job
In this role, you will report to the Purchasing Manager and assist in managing all aspects of procurement to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations. You will also work closely with both internal and external (Suppliers and Vendors).
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary purchasing, expediting and tracking services for assigned group of vessels.
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
- Responsible for sourcing, comparison and selection with existing / potential new suppliers.
- Handling purchase requisition, quote and issuance of PO.
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
- Any other duties as instructed by the management.
skills & experience required

- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a buyer or related position.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Reliable, meticulous, resourceful and aggressive in sourcing.
