With a history dating back over a century, my client is a global technology company that specializes in the automotive aftermarket industry covering both passenger, commercial and the industrial sector.
As part of their growth strategy, they are looking for a Category Manager to be based in Singapore to oversee regional strategy to be aligned with the company”s revenue growth targets and ensuring company product offerings meet the evolving needs of the market.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Industrial Aftermarket
- You will work closely with to develop and execute comprehensive category strategies such as market analysis, competitor landscape, product selection and pricing strategies in order to meet the targeted global P&L for product group and drive product line sales in the region
- Maintain company”s competitiveness by consistently updating product portfolio such as IAM / OES / Service Channels within the category
- Identifying opportunities to expand offerings and introduce new products based on market trends, consumer”s trend
- This would require you to stay informed about the industry and using it to drive product innovation and competitiveness by working closely with internal teams such as marketing, sales, quality assurance to ensure products are constantly exceeding customer expectations
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of category management efforts and provide regular reports and make data-driven recommendations to senior management to make improvements to product/services
Skills and experience required
- Min 8 years of relevant experience with regional/ international industry knowledge
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Experience in category management, product management, specifications and development process
