Currently there is an exciting role, civil and structural engineer, that offers candidate opportunities in designing and managing energy and industrial related facilities, including participation in projects that involve energy transition and transformation initiatives like transitional fuels, carbon management and green energy
Responsibilities:
... - Perform feasibility study, concept design, front end engineering design (FEED) and detailed designs for concrete and steel structures in Energy and Industrial related facilities such as pile foundation, footings, pilecaps, pipe racks, sleepers, pipe bridge, equipment plinths, underground pipeline culvert, drainage, sewerage, road works, etc
- Prepare related material take off (MTO) for cost estimates
- Prepare tender specifications, project requirement, carry out tender evaluation, etc. for projects
- Conduct project presentation to clients and stakeholders
- Project management for engineering works
- Perform authorities’ pre-consultation, submissions and liaison with authorities for necessary approvals and permits
Requirements:
- Degree in C&S Engineering, preferably from a university recognised by Singapore Professional Engineers’ Board (PEB), with strong competency in concrete, steel and foundation design.
- Able to perform concrete and steel structural analysis and design, and preferably also working knowledge in using application related to geotechnical design like Plaxis, Geoslope, etc.
- Experience in marine facilities’ design would be an added advantage
- At least 5 years of relevant design experience in concrete, steel and foundation structures, drainage, sewerage and road works, preferably in a consultancy firm
- Candidate with more than 15 years of relevant design experience and/or a locally registered Professional Engineer will be considered for higher position.
- Working knowledge in Eurocodes, BS Codes. Knowledge in NFPA, API would be an added advantage
- Conversant with local authorities’ requirement, pre-consultations and submissions
- Experience in performing feasibility study, conceptual, FEED and detailed design
- Preferably, able to perform some basic CAD drafting
- Possesses skill in project management, conducting presentation, effective communication and good report writing skills
- Able to travel for oversea projects at short notice
