Our Client is a global private bank with offices around the world, but most importantly, they put a focus on developing their people with their ongoing Learning & Developmental programmes.

about the role

You will be part of the Global Middle Office Operations team supporting all aspects of Client On-boarding of new clients and subsequent periodic renewal process of all clients to fulfil Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements.

  • Assist with the drafting and gathering of client documents
  • Review clients account opening documentation to ensure compliance with local regulatory rules and internal policies
  • Make independent recommendations regarding AML risks at a client level prior to final review by the client-facing teams
  • Ensure high quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements at on-boarding and/or renewal stages
  • Act as subject matter expert relating to AML/KYC policies and procedures
  • Serve as point of contact for KYC and reporting issues for designated clients
  • Escalate and discuss with Compliance on high risk profiles, complex issues as well as other AML risk-related matters
  • Conduct searches to gather information for assessment of the clients
  • Advise Front Office on offshore companies/trust accounts documentation
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of clients’ data entered in the bank's computer system
  • Static data maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

skills and experience required:

  • Minimum Degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in Client On-boarding or Account Documentation
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements especially MAS and HKMA
  • Analytical and meticulous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
