The incumbent, along with the Commercial Leader, will lead the development, implementation and drive the growth strategies of the business in Taiwan by providing clinical, product, technical expertise and supporting the activities of the Commercial Leader and Distributors. In this role, the incumbent will collect and evaluate information in the market; closely monitoring competitive activities and manage product configurations; the incumbent is tasked to generate ideas and concepts to increase awareness, usage and product values. The Clinical Application Specialist is responsible for the revenue and profitability targets and will drive the selling strategies and future direction of the business.


  • Understand and articulate in detail the functionalities/clinical benefits to patients and care givers of the products while offering an economic benefit to the hospital.
  • Clinical specialist and consultant to the Commercial Leader, distributors and customers for assigned product lines.
  • Responsible for improving product knowledge and competency of local team on these specific products.
  • Identify opportunities and drive the sales of company’s clinical product portfolio to health care providers embracing a solution-selling proposition.
  • Responsible for product demonstrations, sales training support as well as Clinical Seminars/Symposium organisation and execution.
  • Instruct clinical staff in the use of the products to ensure adherence with product protocols and safety standards.
  • Provide regional Marketing department with market and competitive information gathered during customer visits.
  • To provide, support and offer product demonstration, clinical know-how and applications on various fields of operations (with emphasis on operating lights, pendants and new video management) to business partners and end-users
  • To conduct regional training for business partners and end users on a periodic basis
  • To evaluate business partner’s clinical expertise on a periodic basis
  • To organize launches of new products, conduct demos and participate in international tradeshows so as to gather competitive information as well as keeping abreast of new technologies
  • To be responsible for achieving the company’s sales targets/budgets
  • To work closely with internal members and to participate in projects, tenders together with internal members


  • Minimum Bachelors in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of demonstrated success in Sales & Marketing role in medical device industry
  • Experience in Channel Management will be a significant advantage


  • Candidates must be currently based in Taiwan
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
  • Broad-based knowledge in business management, sales and marketing.
  • Key skills required include oral and written communication, resilience, planning, integrity, initiative, personal sensitivity, analysis, decision making, organizational sensitivity and collaboration.
  • Key experiences required include working knowledge of the key items on the P/L and Balance Sheet, knowledge of customers, markets and competitors, branding, product line management, new product launch, product improvement and execution of a marketing plan for a major product category
  • Language capability: Mandarin and English (a must)
  • Cultural experience: Ability to work with MNCs and culturally adapt as necessary.
  • Certified Nurse with several years of practical nursing experience preferred.
