My client, a rapidly expanding Fintech firm, is currently hiring a permanent position of a Cloud Support Engineer, AWS (Linux, Network) as an integral part of their expansion plans.

about the job

Reporting to the Head of IT, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting system administration tasks for Linux environment
• Perform management & monitoring activities in Linux environment, including up-time optimisation, configuration, version upgrades, performance monitoring and maintenance to ensure the correct functioning and maintenance of production systems.
• Administer and monitor of systems in Linux environment, including virtual machines, server scanning applications and Linux-based applications
• Providing and implementing technical expertise on AWS platform including Linux servers, database, logging and monitoring tools.
• Responding to operational network issues, deploying new infrastructure, and improving network reliability.
• Troubleshooting / Supporting and implementation of network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewall, WAN / LAN and etc) devices across Asia

skills and experience required

As a successful candidate, you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in Linux development, administration, packaging, scripting
• Good experience and knowledge of Linux command line
• At least 2 years of experience or exposure to AWS (not necessarily need to be certified)
• At least 2 years of hands on experience with network configuration, remote storage, storage performance and log investigation.
• Good understanding of network system and services including database or high-end server solutions etc.
