The Commercial Analyst plays a central role in driving these two priorities being the key lead on commercial data analysis, management & efficiency
Reporting to the Sales Planning Manager, the incumbent will support the design and drive the implementation of the commercial policy, by:
You will get to continuously improve commercial data management and analysis within the firm
o Analyze commercial sales data and formulate recommendations, insights and guidance to optimise the commercial strategy & implementation plan with sales managers.
o Key ambassador of data-driven mindset and ways of working in sales & marketing team
o Drives production of key commercial reports on a monthly basis capturing sales performance MTD and YTD (sell-in volume/NS/CM, sell-out, trade inventory, distribution)
o Responsible for improving, structuring, syncing and organizing of internal and external market data
o Lead automation of commercial processes with IT and finance teams to improve efficiencies in ways of working.
o Gain a better understanding of the sales results on a monthly basis, down to high level of granularity as needed by Sales Managers and trade marketing teams, and how we perform vs competitors, categories, and markets.
o Commercial Efficiency Analysis & Reporting support for Sales Managers: ∙ Support Sales Managers in setting quantitative targets (volume, net sales, profit) by trade marketing team, and tracking quantitative and qualitative achievements on a regular basis (monthly or quarterly)
∙ Distribution Reach Analysis and Insights of the Route to Markets
∙ Analysis of A&P efficiency
o Working with the Pricing Analyst to analyze and gain insights into the effect Allowances & Discounts on commercial sales efficiencies (e.g. incremental sales from promotional activities evaluation)
