In conjunction, they are seeking for a strategic minded senior leader specializing in the logistics and warehousing function

about the job



  • Contribute to the global D&L strategy and maintain strategic plans for Asia D&L .

  • Provide a top down managementinput to the continuous development of global best practices (including development of Manhattan WMS and ancillary software’s).

  • Maintain and drive continuous review of the overall D&L network in Asia – identify opportunities to streamline footprint and goods movements

  • Own 3PL strategy & renewal process in region, ensures timing is managed to best support negotiating position.

  • Partner with global logistics / compliance team

  • Manage local freight/transportation activities and partner with Global team on global contracts (e.g. Ocean freight).

  • 3PL warehouse partners – create effective ‘gain / share’ model and drive incremental process / cost base improvements with 3PL partners (this will include capturing originated improvements and applying to 3PL’s and visa-versa).

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and standardization of process across the region, in alignment with global best practices

  • Set, manage and achieve operational budgets.

  • Drive establishment and maintenance of ‘two-way’ SLA’s & scorecards between business unit (retail / wholesale / internet), regional teams and supply chain partners (internal and external).

  • Establish a transparent activity based costing mechanism for D&L with business units – building clear understanding of the key drivers impacting service / cost.

  • Maintain a ledger of cost reduction initiatives spanning the entire D&L space.

  • Provide direct project management on specific initiatives, and sponsor projects in the D&L space with the team.

  • Support management of sku count elimination / inventory reduction from the DC networks. Raise awareness and sponsor initiatives that promote the effective utilization of space and capacity.

  • Ensure ongoing shipment / receiving forecasts are maintained and that appropriate capacity / flexibility is available to deliver against business needs. Demands that business partners provide rolling inventory schedules and that the challenge of end of life inventory is front of mind.

  • Drive supply chain visibility for all inbound / outbound shipments – Partner with internal vendors (Manufacturing), with exception based actions triggered for delays.

  • Maintain Quarterly business reviews with all major vendors, manage process for vendor business renewal / contract negotiation.

  • Complete regional warehouse assessments with local DC management, partner with global on formal bi-annual audits at major facilities.

  • Maintain staffing for D&L activities – inclusive of succession planning / drive culture of personal development for all employees

  • Maintain ‘Smart-goals’ for all staff members – collaborate with regional / global management team to ensure appropriate top down and bottom up alignment.

  • Owns regional D&L summit’s and contributes to global summits

  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required.

skills and experience required



  • Minimum 10 years of Distribution & Logistics experience.

  • Minimum 10 years in management and leadership roles with increased responsibilities.

  • Capability to operate in a matrix environment, balancing the needs of the country / region / globe while maintaining perspective around the overall goals for the role and function

  • Ability to think strategically, gather and synthesize large amount of data and information, think objectively, and present facts and recommendations to senior executives.

  • Ability to coordinate internal and external resources to advance business objectives.

  • Experience with ERP, warehousing and logistics systems and Microsoft platform applications (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project); and data analysis tools.

  • Ability to adjust priorities to meet changes in departmental and company requirements.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
