As a key member of the Country Compliance team, your role is to safeguard the business and their clients by ensuring that it is in line with industry laws and standards. Your scope of duties will include but not be limited to:
- Keep up to date with all latest regulatory developments as set out by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
- Service and advise the business on all AML and compliance matters to ensure policies and standards are adhered to
- Draft, implement and update compliance policies and procedures for the bank where necessary
- Establish and maintain relationships with local regulators, internal and external auditors, and all stakeholders of the business
- Identify compliance risks and ensure risks are addressed, monitored and mitigated
- Prepare and present reports to senior management, outlining weaknesses and providing follow-up solutions
- Organise training sessions to educate staff on AML and compliance topics
skills and experience required
- Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Business or Law, or relevant professional qualification in financial services or audit
- Minimum 7 years of relevant compliance experience, ideally from a private banking environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of business standards, policies and procedures in a financial/banking environment
