about the role

  • Create monitoring reports by aggregating global positions in Asia Pacific securities in accordance with jurisdictional reporting requirements
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings (along with transaction & position reconciliations)
  • Support impact analysis on the firm's shareholdings before finalizing and submission of regulatory reports
  • Perform rule-based data collation & analytics to support timely responses to inquiries
  • Support audit and regulatory requests for information
  • Prepare MIS reports for management
  • Review, implement & update control procedures for new products & regulations
  • Run projects to enhance the efficiency of the daily monitoring processes
  • Review market updates and perform comprehensive rule reviews and decision making when disposing or escalating potential filing & monitoring alerts

skills and experience required

  • Minimum Degree
  • At least 1 year of Compliance experience within the Banking & Financial Services sector
  • Strong Interest in Compliance with a general understanding of the financial markets
  • Knowledge in equities and derivatives products an added advantage
  • Aptitude to understand different business models, product sets, and risk factors across the various lines of business including Private Banking and Investment Banking
  • Strong research, analytical ability, logical thinking and comprehension skills
  • Detailed and organised
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
