Your primary focus will be on group consolidation and investment holding activities. This role requires a strong understanding of financial consolidation principles, experience in managing individual company accounts, coordinating with external service providers, and involvement in various miscellaneous tasks including M&A processes.
1) Group Consolidation:
- Manage the group consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements. You will be managing consolidation for a few countries.
- Perform intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and adjustments to ensure proper consolidation of financial data.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather necessary financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
2) Investment Holding:
- Oversee the financial reporting and accounting activities of individual investment holding companies.
- Prepare financial statements, analyze financial performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
3) Liaising with Service Providers:
- Coordinate with external service providers, including auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
- Review and analyze service provider contracts, negotiate terms, and monitor their performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any financial or accounting-related queries from service providers.
4) Miscellaneous Tasks:
- Assist in various ad-hoc projects, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes, due diligence, and integration activities.
- Support the finance team in process improvements, system enhancements, and other initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to assist in strategic decision-making.
Skills and experience required
A recognized degree with at least 3 years accounting experience (with knowledge in group consolidation). Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP), and consolidation techniques. You have strong interpersonal skills to liaise with different business units, meticulous and strong willingness to learn. You are also comfortable to work at the Northern part of Singapore on a 5 days work week.
