Our client is an established multinational company, with a strong presence manufacturing and providing industrial/process automation products and solutions to a wide range of industries such as automotive, chemical, electronics etc. This esteemed brand is now looking for a driven Country Manager to drive its direction and generate growth for their growing Vietnam operations. The ideal candidate would be a strong leader and people developer with a proven track record of steering businesses forward while also implementing its vision, mission and long term goals.

about the job
Your key purpose in this role is to ensure the company’s Vietnam operations is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.

As the Country Manager, you will play a crucial role in the operation’s increasing contribution to the overall regional business for the company.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Driving profit growth and achieving optimal sales revenue, growing both market share and profitability
  • Providing leadership and defining the country’s strategy based on understanding of market landscape and competitors
  • Set performance standards and developing staff, constantly increasing the overall competency of the team
  • Establish objectives in key metrics such as business development and sales volume
  • Providing vision and leadership for long term fiscal planning to ensure profitability and sustainability of the Vietnam business

skills and experience required
To succeed in this pivotal role, you should be driven and have more than 10 years experience in Sales/Business Management, planning and financial oversight within automation and automation related industries. He will also ideally possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or a relevant field
  • Proven experience navigating Vietnam’s technical B2B industrial landscape
  • Proven skills in business and financial management
  • Ability to handle conflict, stress and crisis management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage,develop and drive a team
  • Ability to converse in Vietnamese is an advantage due to largely Vietnamese customer base.
