- Take charge of deploying and implementing cybersecurity projects, ensuring the utmost protection of our systems, data, and infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in a range of security competencies, including endpoint security, DLP, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and IAM.
- Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering their professional growth, mentoring their development, and cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and execute comprehensive security solutions that adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Perform risk assessments and vulnerability evaluations to identify security vulnerabilities, prioritize remediation actions, and suggest suitable controls.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, proactively suggesting enhancements to fortify our security posture.
- Formulate and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to establish a robust security framework organization-wide.
- Engage in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents, coordinating remediation efforts, and ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into future security measures.
- Serve as a recognized authority on cybersecurity, providing guidance and support to internal teams, executive stakeholders, and external partners as required.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and security service providers to evaluate, select, and integrate appropriate security solutions and technologies.
skills and experience required
- Minimally Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimally 7 to 10 years of working experience in a related Cybersecurity position.
- Proven experience in deploying and implementing cybersecurity projects, with a strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Extensive experience and expertise in various security competencies, such as endpoint security solutions (e.g. EDR, antivirus), DLP, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and IAM.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience leading and managing a team of cybersecurity professionals and driving successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability management processes, and incident response procedures.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, including emerging technologies such as cloud security, IoT security, and AI-driven security solutions.
