Our client is a end user with multiple offices across Asia. With massive expansion plan, they are looking to recruit a new Data Analyst / Data Engineer (Data Mapping) – SQL to join their team.
About the job
You will be responsible for:
Efficiently mapping and converting data from source systems to target systems, thereby ensuring the precision and uniformity of data migration and integration.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams that include data architects, data modelers, data engineers, and business analysts to comprehend data needs, establish mapping guidelines, and maintain data reliability during the entire process.
Examine the data structures, schemas, and formats of source systems to uncover data relationships, dependencies, and mapping requisites.
Collaborate closely with data modelers and business analysts to gain a comprehensive understanding of data semantics and business regulations.
Formulate and put into action transformation rules and logic to adapt data as necessary.
Chart data fields from source systems to target systems, ensuring the precision of data migration and integration.
Uphold data quality and consistency throughout the mapping procedure. Employ data quality assessments and validation mechanisms to detect and resolve issues with data quality.
Ensure adherence to data governance policies, standards, and regulatory criteria during data mapping activities. Comply with data privacy and security directives.
Conduct meticulous data validation and testing to secure the accuracy, comprehensiveness, and uniformity of the mapped data.
Identify and rectify data disparities and errors in the course of the mapping process.
Establish and sustain comprehensive documentation of data mapping specifications, encompassing mapping rules, data catalogs/data lineage, and data transformation rationale.
Recognize prospects for enhancing and optimizing the data mapping and transformation process. Propose and put in place enhancements to streamline and automate data mapping activities.
Skills and experience required
As a successful applicant, you will have at proven track record in the translation of data from source to destination within a enterprise data warehouse environment.
Proven track record in data mapping and transformation techniques, encompassing the utilization of mapping tools and languages such as SQL.
