our client is the veteran in providing global maritime services. They are looking for a Data Architect who can be responsible for developing and governing their data and information strategy to drive business decisions and growth.

about team

• Lead a small team of about 2-3 Data Engineers (based in Philippines)
• Reports to the VP in Singapore
• Total IT team size about 11

about job

• • Establish data strategies, design, architecture, build conceptual/logical/physical data models and flows and communicate with the application development team for adoption;
  • Define, develop and deliver consistent information and data standards, methodologies, guidelines, best practice and approved modeling techniques around data quality, data governance and data security;
  • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming.
  • Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse and continuously update and enhance it to keep up with changing business needs. Explore and include new data sources in DWH for analytics and data science.
  • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
  • Lead and implement database performance monitoring and improvement capabilities.
  • Explore, create and develop scalable cloud infrastructures
  • Apply dev-ops processes to improve production level systems

skills and requirements

• • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 10 to 15 years' experience in a senior data management role.
  • Experience on Relational databases and NoSQL databases (SQLServer, ElasticSearch, MongoDB and etc)
  • Experience in implementation of big data platform and data warehouse projects.
  • Well experienced in solution design, architecture of conceptual, logical and physical data model;
  • Hands on experience in SQL scripting, data analysis, data integration and data management tools;
  • End-to-end data warehousing program execution knowledge and leadership.
  • Knowledge of operational data store, data warehouse, transactional data store and data modeling products/techniques
  • Broad knowledge of solutions and technologies in the Data & Analytics domain such as Hadoop Platform, Infomatica, Tableau, QlikSense, Hive, RDBMS technologies, R, Python etc.
  • Integration and APIs (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
  • Familiar with scrum processes, agile environment
