They are hiring a newly created permanent position of a Data Engineer (Azure Data Lake, SQL, Data Pipeline). The objective is to leverage extensive expertise in data management and pipeline construction, along with proficiency in SQL and adaptability to new technologies, to drive the effective utilization of data for high-value solutions, while ensuring compliance with data governance and security requirements.

Reporting to the Data Architect, your role involves:

Partnering with cross-functional teams for agile design and implementation of data pipelines.
Creating and managing data models to support robust business analytics.
Championing automation using modern tools for seamless data integration and preparation.
Maintaining optimized data pipelines with a focus on best practices and efficiency.
Collaborating closely with Data Scientists, integrating diverse datasets to drive advanced analytics initiatives.

skills and experience required

As a successful candidate, you should have:

At least 3 years of experience building data pipelines
Proficiency in SQL is a mandatory skill
Ability to adapt to new tools and languages, particularly Azure Data, for those without prior experience.
Extensive background in data management, including expertise in data warehousing and modeling, emphasizing diverse dataset handling.
Strong track record in constructing and refining data pipelines, utilizing tools like Azure Data Lake/Talend
Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing is good to have, not mandatory.
Familiarity with data science tools/platforms like Python and Azure ML is an added advantage.
