- Convert business needs into technical specifications.
- Examine the business requirements, comprehend the underlying data sources, determine the necessary data transformations, create data mappings, develop data models, and define metadata for reporting solutions.
- Architect the data layer of the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) while considering important factors such as scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and automation.
- Construct the infrastructure required to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from diverse data sources, applications, and platforms.
- Progressively construct the enterprise data warehouse for the IB (Information Brokerage) system.
- Assess and enhance existing business intelligence (BI) systems.
- Write code, conduct unit testing, document processes, and troubleshoot issues.
- Generate visualizations and reports for different business units.
- Engage in technical knowledge sharing and participate in peer review sessions with fellow team members.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing robust data pipelines and ETL framework.
skills and experience required
Proven track record as a data warehouse architect and developer, including successful implementation of complete data warehousing solutions.
Deep knowledge of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and SQL queries, particularly in Azure SQL DB.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly MS Azure and AWS, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed, such as big data, business intelligence (BI), and data science.
Strong expertise in data warehouse design methodologies and technologies, including data modelling (preferably with experience in data vault), data quality, and metadata management..
