about the job
- Design and deploy solutions that address the organisation’s challenges through use of data governance and management of large amount of data
- Manage enterprise-wide Data Governance policies, standards and processes
- Oversee core data assets identification and appointment of data owners and stewards
- Facilitate business and technical definitions of data maintained in various data repositories
- Maintain the list of data owners and stewards and data lineage in various data repositories
skills and experience required
- Degree holder in Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 8 years of data governance and/or data engineering
- Understanding of and experience using data governance concepts, techniques and tools
- Working knowledge of data mining principles: mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
- In-depth understanding of and experience in designing structured and unstructured, SQL and NoSQL data repositories
