Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, database administrators, solution architects, data engineers, and external service providers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
Ensure regular data profiling and analysis to validate and optimize data models for performance and efficiency.
Analyse existing data structures, databases, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and propose data modelling solutions.
Manage the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with the data architecture and business requirements.
Review to ensure up-to-date documentation for data models, including entity-relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, and data catalogues/data lineage.
Participate in data governance activities, including data quality assessments, data security management, master data management, and metadata management.
Collaborate with database administrators to ensure data models are efficiently implemented and optimized in database management systems.

skills and experience required

Proven 5 years of work experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role.
Knowledge of dimensional modelling and familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
Proficiency in data modelling tools such as SqlDBM, ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar.
Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, techniques, and methodologies.
Familiarity with data integration and ETL/ELT processes.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
