Our Client is one of the the leading Global end user companies within their industry. With their Global HQ in Singapore and as part of their plan to invest in technology, they are now hiring a permanent role of a Database developer / DBA (SQL) to join their team.


About the job

As part of the software development team, your role involves:

• SQL tuning and writing complex high-performance query for developing team.
• Assisting developers with SQL coding
• Partnering with the application development team to implement database solutions
• Designing, installing, configuring and upgrading SQL database
• Ensuring high levels of performance and availability, reviewing database server performance
• Installing and upgrading SQL Server, clients, and application development programs.
• Allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for all database systems.
• Fine tuning database configuration, reorganisation and backup & restore procedures

Skills and experience required

As a successful applicant, you will have:

• At least 5 years of experience in MS SQL Server configuration and database administration.
• At least 3 years of experience in SQL coding
• Experience with designing, installing, configuring and upgrading SQL database in various
  platforms like Windows, Linux and Unix.
• Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Candidates with experience in performance fine tuning, high availability and disaster recovery will be highly preferred.
