• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards as outlined in the company’s safety and quality assurance programs, while working with staff to maintain balanced work schedules.
• Lead safety initiatives to foster a "safety-first" culture, oversee safety performance, and advise the team on technical matters for efficient daily operations.
• Oversee, coordinate, and monitor daily laboratory activities under the guidance of the General Manager.
• Set strategic direction for the lab to meet production targets and client expectations efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Leverage a strong understanding of Element’s processes and capabilities to clearly articulate the value of its testing services to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership, support the development of innovative technologies, and offer critical data analysis to both colleagues and customers.
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing across teams, aiming to disseminate advanced testing protocols and methodologies throughout the organization.
• Contribute to business development by identifying and supporting opportunities with new or existing clients.
• Deliver confident and effective presentations on routine and specialized testing to a diverse audience of stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Science, with at least 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in operations management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory safety practices and extensive experience with testing procedures and equipment.
• Strong technical leadership to guide teams and meet customer expectations, with proven expertise in conducting and supervising complex tests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and deadlines, ensuring a strong track record of delivering technical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and work under strict timelines, coupled with robust organizational and conflict-resolution skills to manage cross-departmental communication effectively.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or 5S, and strong project management and analytical skills to ensure lab efficiency.
