With their global R&D, manufacturing and sales capabilities, this market leader is now looking for a highly motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in performing electrical design work in the heavy equipment industry.
about the job
Reporting into the Manager, Product Engineering, you will:
- Understand the ISO standards for design considerations, perform system sizing and provide innovative design solutions.
- Work closely with Sales/Customer to understand the design requirements and provide response to tender submission
- Produce drawings, documentations on electrical design.
- Assist procurement to engage and qualify suppliers.
- Be responsible for creating the Bill of Material for production.
- Work closely with manufacturing colleagues in the electrical installations of the product
- Be involved in the testing and validation of the design, including parameter optimization for controllers.
- Possess good understanding of generator controller, alternator working concepts and provide on-site troubleshooting support if required.
- Engage or initiate continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and improve work efficiency.
job requirement
- Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in PLC electrical design, Industrial and marine diesel generator, switchgear and transformer would be an additional advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SEE. Electrical
- Willing to work in the West (Jurong/Pioneer/Boon Lay) (*transport allowance provided*)
