Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, you will be part of a team that provides employee relations and investigation expertise, handling case management, consultation and project management within the Employee Relations function. You will be responsible to:
- Manage various employee relations (ER) cases, encompassing disciplinary issues, misconduct, performance problems, grievances, redundancies, and complex absences, aiming for successful resolutions
- Independently investigate intricate HR-related concerns, employing critical thinking to evaluate evidence and draw investigative conclusions.
- Offer guidance and advice to businesses on disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, and regional employment practices tied to ER cases.
- Maintain meticulous documentation standards for ER cases, encompassing investigation reports and issue analysis.
- Develop and deliver training and educational programs to enhance the effectiveness of HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and leaders, improving ER decision-making.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with business leaders and HRBPs to uphold positive employee relations practices.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with legal and investigative teams focused on employment matters, balancing risk assessment and offering recommendations for decision-making.
- Analyse trends to identify the underlying causes and formulate solutions to facilitate effective corrective actions.
- Ensure a unified and consistent approach to managing ER cases to maintain coherence in handling ER-related issues.
skills and experience required
- Degree in Human Resources Administration, Law, Business Management, or equivalent
- At least 8 years of experience in handling regional employee relations
- Strong team player with the demonstrated ability to solve problems and maintain positive relationships at all levels with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Analytical, strong attention-to-detail, goal-oriented, and excellent communication skills
