about the job

You will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Fixed Income and the investment team. These include scheduling appointments, preparing external/internal correspondence, screening telephone calls and visitors, making travel arrangements, coordinating meetings and receptions, preparing presentation materials, and maintaining/filing documents. In addition, you will coordinate and produce sensitive reports and analyses (e.g., budgets), database maintenance, as well as managing expense claims. You will also help to organize team and/or departmental events. On top of a normal executive secretarial job scope, you will be part of a team in pursuing technology and continuous process improvement by actively identify opportunities for process improvements to create efficiencies and support capability to business needs, plus work on systematising processes and incorporating efficiency tools in the business support process.

about the manager / team

You will report to the Head of Non-Asia Emerging Market Equities who is at Managing Director level. There will be a team of less than 10 members comprising of VPs and SVPs. This role is well-suited for EAs who have supported a team of investment bankers before and will like to take a less stressful job with better work life balance.

skills & experience required

The ideal incumbent will be tertiary educated with minimum 10 years of executive secretarial experience. The role requires regular contact with clients, industry and government officials, and senior management in other firms. Thus, the successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal capabilities, and good verbal and written communication skills. As the candidate will be supporting a team of senior professionals, qualities of the ideal person include being able to develop a thorough knowledge of the organization quickly, and also being able to work with limited direction from senior professionals and make sound judgements independently. The successful candidate is also expected to have a keen interest in technology and business support efficiency tools, as the organisation is driving efficiency projects.
