About the job

As an Office Manager, you will be required to carry out a wide range of support and coordination activities to facilitate the smooth functioning of the business operations. Your job responsibilities include overseeing facilities services and maintenance activities, monitoring and replenishing office supplies with attention to budgetary constraints, liaising closely with the finance department to set up capital expenditure and keep track of office expenses, contributing to the organisation of internal and external events and supervising team members to ensure that daily despatch duties are performed in a seamless and efficient manner.

Should there be any renovation and maintenance projects, you will be required to coordinate with the relevant vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely execution of renovation and maintenance projects and oversee maintenance works to ensure that contract service providers perform their contractual obligations. This position may also require you to assist in warehouse management to ensure the efficient utilisation of the warehouse space.

About the manager/team

This position sits within the office administration department. You will be managing a team of 5-6 employees and report directly to the General Manager.

Skills and experience required

The incumbent should be tertiary-educated and come with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. To excel in this role, you should possess a high level of organisational and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well independently as well as in a collegial team environment. Through a thorough knowledge of facilities best practices, office management and leadership capability, the office Manager should work to build an amicable relationship with the service providers and maintain an effective line of communication within the team so as to maintain a conducive work environment.

The incumbent is also required to be resourceful and analytical in coordinating changes and recommending effective cost effective solutions to enhance the processes within the organisation.
