about the role
- Responsible for month-end closing activities
- Prepare and input accounting-related bookings in the system
- Ensure financial records are maintained accurately
- Prepare fixed assets listing
- Be involved in MAS Regulatory Reporting
- Assist with statutory reporting which includes annual audits, preparation of financial statements and tax computation
- Assist with general ledger maintenance to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Perform nostro reconciliation and monitor irregularity in accounts
- Perform DTCC Reconciliation for MAS and EMIR Reporting, Securities & Equities reconciliation and outstanding positions reconciliations
- Tax reporting and analysis which includes preparation of GST returns
- Process staff claims and vendor expenses
- Participate in Finance projects as assigned
skills and experience required
- Minimum Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent
- At least 1 year of Finance experience within the Banking industry
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous and analytical
