A globally established Real Estate Investment Manager with a global presence is seeking to bring on a Financial Analyst to join their ranks.

about the job
Reporting to the Fund Controller, you will be responsible for, but not limitied to:

  • Providing transactional and analytical support to acquisitions, fund managers and asset managers on real estate transactions in the APAC region, with a focus on Greater China deals
  • Involved in capital structuring and tax planning for acquisitions & restructuring.
  • Reviewing and analysing financial results reported by property holding subsidiaries, including proper conversion from local GAAPs (especially China GAAP) to IFRS/US GAAP
  • Co-ordinating and liaising with JV partners, fund managers, asset managers, investors, outsource accounting & tax agents on finance, reporting & tax matters, liquidity and cash-flow management, queries on portfolio’s performance & financial forecasts
  • Review and report monthly cash positions. Ensure optimal cash management by property holding subsidiaries

Accounting & reporting

  • Maintain/oversee the maintenance of accounting records for investment holding entities on a monthly basis
  • Payments, wire transfers processing & daily cash flow management of the investment holding entities
  • Assist in the annual external & internal audit
  • Assist with tax, corporate secretarial compliance, fund compliance/corporate governance matters
  • Implement and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Support with fund consolidation and reporting to investors on a quarterly basis

skills and experience required

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy (educated in Singapore, HK or Australia preferred), CA, CPA or ACCA qualified
  • Atleast 4 years of relevant working experience preferably in the capacity as a Big 4 auditor
  • Experience in real estate industry is preferred
  • As the incumbent partners closely with Greater China business and stakeholders, proficiency in written and spoken Business Chinese is a great added advantage
  • Technically strong in financial reporting and accounting standards (local GAAPs to IFRS/US GAAP)
  • Ability to work in a diverse environement with the keen willingingness to learn and grow through the ranks
