Our client is financially supported by large investors and revenue making business in Singapore and in the US, in the emerging technologies space. They are expanding their R&D and Software Engineering team to support their growth.

about the job
You will be part of the lean engineering team taking part in developing web services, front end components and web applications, bringing direct impact to the business

  • Build new features for the software interface to interact with our main hardware product
  • Analyse and optimize performance and reliability of the apps.
  • Work closely with the team and Product Owner to develop optimized apps
  • Strong knowledge of Web standards and keeping up-to-date with new, upcoming technologies
  • Rationalize and design modular React components with any given challenges

skills and experience required

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • More than 2 years of experience in Front End Development using React.js
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling
  • Good understanding of the components in browser/WebView, such as JS engine, and other built-in APIs within the browser.
  • Experience in designing and developing web APIs, specialising in at least one format like RESTful, RPC and GraphQL
  • Working experience with RDBMS and NoSQL (MongoDB, etc), understanding the concepts behind the two, and proficient in designing efficient data schema
  • Experience with CI/CD using tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, etc
  • Agile methodology with a mix of Scrum and Kanban for product development
  • Eager and willing to learn new things, stay up to date with the latest technologies, and expand your base skillset to propose new approaches to your work
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
